It has officially been announced, the new 2007 MX Championship Series. Now, what are the racers and race fans thoughts on the new 2007 MX Championships? Is it a good thing or is this just an attempt for the AMA to win back racers and race fans to the WPSA Powersports Tour?

For those of you who don't know what this is about or want to find out more information, read the press release here:
AMA to Launch Pro ATV Motocross Championship - 11/13/2006

I won't play AMA games.
WPSA and GNCC are way more fun and much more rider, not $$$$$ orientated!!!!

In a way I want to applaud them and say the more the merrier. However, in another way I don't. More series' may mean more opportunities for riders, but at the same time it will probably lead to a failure of atleast one of the series' due to low turnout from the other ones. Pro riders attract the attention and the pros go where the money is; simple fact.

I BELIEVE THAT MORE OPPURTUNITIES AND ADDED PUBLICITY CAN ONLY MAKE THE SPORT GROW , LETS FACE IT THE AMA WILL CREATE ALOT OF ATTENTION AND REACH NEW PROSPECTIVE RIDERS AND FANS. WE SHOULD SUPPORT ALL THE PROGRAMS WE CAN IN ORDER TO PROMOTE OUR SPORT , AMA series will hit different cities and states covering more area, thus more potential fans. just my thoughts .

I am an avid racer and I speak to many racers and fans, so far everyone seems upset with the ama and looks like the wpsa will have more pros this year, also they will have tv coverage witch is what everybody wants. AMA looks to be going down the drain.... Hopefully both series have many participants..
