I've been using Rotella T full synthetic for a couple years in my 680 Rincon and the wife's Rancher. I bought two gallons of the Rotella T6 5W40. I don't see where it says non engery conserving. The other Rotella I used doesn't have the T6 on it, it says Rotella T. My question is this T6 safe for the wet clutches and the Honda's in general?

I appreciate the info.

Do you see any difference in the labels? Maybe the "T6" is just a new and improved version, ie advertising hype. If in doubt, check the API ratings.

This is what I understand about the change:

The new designation indicates a new formulation that has a lower ash content than the previous, and it has higher ratings. Other than that is is the same. I have a jug of the T6 on my oil shelf, and it does not say "Energy Conserving" in the API symbol, so it will be OK for wet clutches.

The old T was rated CI-4/SL, the new T6 is rated CJ-4/SM.

Thanks guys for your replies. I thought it was okay but wanted to ask people who knew. I've been real satisfied with the Rotella T. Like everything else it's gone up. It was 20.00 for the blue jug.Last time I bought a jug it was 17.00 if I remember right.

Don't worry my friend. Obama will get us straightened out LOL.If we can make it to 2012 we'll make it. Things don't look good at best. I just hope the voters wake up this time.

I think, and HOPE, the American people have enough sense to see him for what he really is (a Socialist, at best; a Marxist, at worse), and he will have ZERO chance of being re-elected. Of course, then we have the chance of ending up with someone just as bad as he. Well, maybe not. LOL.

But, then we have to get the new guy and Congress to undo all the damage he and his Progressive Democrat pals have done. Which will be hard, since once politicians gain power, it is tough to get them to give it up.

Unfortunately it's going to be along hard battle for us. He's done so much damage in the short time he's been in office. I have never called or considered him as my president and never will. The sooner he does the disappearing act the better off all of us will be.What scares me you can't fix stupid and we have our share of stupid people.
