I jst changed the oil in my recently purchased 2007 420 Rancher. Now the oil light will not go off. A friend mentioned there is a reset but the bike came without a manual. Does anyone know how to reset the oil change light?

Press and hold hr/od/trip select button..........turn the ign switch to on for more than 2 seconds. The indicator will disappear.
Thats right out of the owners manual.
I wouldnt buy a thing from the dealer that said you had to have them turn it off.

DR500, I believe the "bro" is a "sis". And she said it didn't come with a manual.

But I agree with BB in that the dealer tara8956 spoke of would not see any business from me if they won't even tell me on the phone how to reset an oil light.

With the key on try Pressing and holdin the two buttons on the left hand side of the screen. If that doesn't work it may be the buttons on the other side of the screen. I hope that works for you it worked for our but it is a different modle.
